Date: 3/15/2009 Title: The journey continues
His biopsy came back amd the result weren't good. The tumor was cancerous. It went on further to say that it was probaby solar induced and they believe the surgeon got all of the cancerous cells. I was told that rarely does the tumor come back but if it does it will come back more aggressively that I needed to check him periodically.
Two days later on the 9th I noticed two lumps near the region of his surgery. :( I was so scared that I rushed him to the Vet the next morning. Both Vets (husband & wife team) looked at him and confered with an oncologist. The oncologist recommended the removal of the tumors and to set up an appointment with her when the 2nd biopsy report comes back. I was beside myself that he had cancer and that he was having a 2nd surgery in less than a week. They removed 3 lumps and a small hot spot which he had on his back just to be safe . Snoopy is now recooperating inside the house and has taken over the family room. :) He is enjoying all the extra attention he is getting. We just have to sit still until the report comes back. Tomorrow he is due for his re-check. Wish us luck!

Snoopy my Bull Terrier is six years old and he has been part of my family since he was 8 weeks old. He lives in my outside in my backyard since he is very hyper inside the house. He also isn't very animal friendly. Outside he has his custom made house made by my hubby and I.
He is very white almost albino-ish. Recently he got a small sore next to his privates. He suffers from severe allergies so we all thought it was just that it was part of his allergies. 2 weeks later it got slightly bigger. On Thursday March 5th he started bleeding from that area. I tried to stop the bleeding and it just wouldn't he also was whimpering. I wrapped him as good as I could with a home made belly band. I rushed him to his Vet. The vet was able to stop the bleeding by cauterizing the area. He was sent home and I was told that he needed surgery. I brought him back the next day. They removed what turned out to be a tumor and sent it for a biopsy.
